It is so easy to hand out the technology to kids but without the right support from home, you’ll be fighting a losing battle.
At the beginning of the year we made the decision that we wouldn’t roll the iPads out until Week 4 of the Term. This was largely due to the fact that we wanted to implement a program of Digital Citizenship both for the students and for the parents.
Initially we held a Parent Night which involved our Principal, our lead technician and myself in discussing the major areas the parents were interested in:
